Moogy Klingman
Mark "Moogy" Klingman was a founding member and keyboard player in Utopia for their first two albums and contributed to most of Todd Rundgren's early solo efforts, including "Something/Anything?" Over the years, he has worked with Bette Midler, Johnny Winter, Rick Derringer, Buzzy Linhart, and many others. Moogy wrote "Dust In The Wind" as heard on Todd's "Something/Anything" album, and co-wrote "You Gotta Have Friends," a hit for Bette Midler (it's also featured in the movie "Shrek"). |

Notes: A very special event occurred at the Triad Theater in NYC on October 2nd of 2002. A historic reunion took place of former Todd Rundgren band members, including Moogy Klingman's Freak Parade (with original Utopia drummer Kevin Ellman) and Stewkey, lead singer of the Nazz. Special guest Godfrey Townsend (lead guitarist/vocalist of the Who's John Entwhistle Band) joined in for the fun. And let me tell you, it was very fun indeed. It must also be said that Godfrey Townsend was absolutely tremendous. He has spent the last few summers touring with Todd Rundgren in the Beatles tribute band, "A Walk Down Abbey Road." These great artists came together to celebrate their association with Todd and the wonderful music that their fans cherish. | ||||
